This is a protective ceramic tube for high temperature K-type thermocouples, for example for the model CR-02 (Amazon item number B076YMJ18N). It will protect the thermocouple inside the oven, furnace or kiln from any contamination. It can be use in a foundry or forge and protects the thermocouple probe from molten metal. It also can be used in kiln and furnace for pottery and glass melting.
