Gessobord is made from our premium warp-resistant 1/8" profile FSC-Certified Hardbord that is sealed and protected with our proprietary Archiva-Seal to prevent yellowing from Support Induced Discoloration (SID). Each panel is individually coated with a professional artists’ grade acid-free acrylic gesso for a slight, even texture. Artists choose wood painting panels because the surface offers more vibrant colors, allows for precise detail and is an overall better support than canvas for their artwork. Ampersand panels are strong enough to hold up to the most rigorous palette knife painting and heavy layers of collage and will not bow or flex like canvas.
